2008 Como Pavilion Performance
Twin Cities Show Chorus Performing at Como Park Pavilion 2008 A TESTIMONIAL: Note to a TC member after the Como performance

"The lady that we sang "Happy Birthday" to was absolutely euphoric that we would do something so personal for her during our "concert". She is a long time member of the Bach Society (soprano) who last year had a battle with a disease and she consequently lost sight in one eye and can no longer sing. She came to our show ready to "tolerate" it as she only knew about the "old style - not so good - barbershop". When we sang "Fill my life with music, fill my life with song" she totally broke down and had just the most positive, glorious experience with us the rest of the evening. It was freeing to her and allowed her to be sad about what happened but to realize that she could still feel the music and love it. WOW!!!!

THEN - Susan came back into my office about 1/2 hour later to tell me that she had gotten a call from a friend who lives across the lake from the pavilion. He had taken a walk in his back yard and heard our music. He then brought his wife, who is in a wheel chair, out into the back yard and they had "one of the best evenings they had in a long time enjoying the music".

Sounds of the Season (holiday show)
Invitation to Sing When the Twin Cities Show Chorus does a Holiday Show, we like to invite women to join us. It's usually music familiar to many, and thus, can be learned more quickly than some of the older barbershop tunes.

We don't require that singers learn our entire repertoire, only about 5 or 6 holiday songs. We also don't require that guests buy costumes or pay membership fees and join us. It's just a nice, easy way to let potential members decide for themselves whether they like the barbershop art form and whether they'll fit into the group. An added bonus is that they also perform the songs with the chorus!
